Literary Management Intern
For English/Spanish/Dramatic Literature majors or recent graduates, with concentration in creative writing or new work development, seeking experience in literary management.
Intern will be responsible for coordinating with Artistic Director on script reading and analysis: previewing new scripts by Latino playwrights - in both/either Spanish and English - and providing brief synopses, scheduling and organizing reading committee meetings, soliciting plays and responding to inquiries from literary agents, organizing database of plays and committee evaluations, and providing assistance for dramaturgical research and audience study guides.
Arts Administration Intern
For Theatre or Business Management majors/graduates, with concentration in marketing & development, seeking practical experience in non-profit arts sector.
Intern will work in areas of Marketing and Development, to assist the business management aspects of the organization. Intern will assist with the handling individual box office sales and subscriptions; the creation and distribution of press and marketing materials - press releases, online newsletter, playbills, posters, audience surveys, etc.; the soliciting of corporate sponsorships and donations; the drafting of appreciation letters and proofreading of grant applications; and the maintenance of audience and donor contact databases.
Theatrical Production Intern For Theatre majors or minors, with concentration in theatrical design and construction, seeking professional production experience.
Intern will assist designers and stage managers with aspects of theatrical production: sets, lighting, sound, costume, and properties. Intern will assist with construction, load-in and strike throughout the course of the season. Intern will also provide administrative support to the Executive Director and/or other staff in terms of scheduling, budgeting, and venue rental management. Opportunities for paid technical operator positions are first made available to production interns.
