Welcome to the Miracle Theatre Group! The Miracle Theatre Group is committed
to presenting works that exemplify the Hispanic experience through
a culturally informed lens. Founders José Eduardo González
and Dañel Malán began Miracle’s Hispanic artistic
programming from a desire to recreate and share the cultural vivacity
of their origins. Although their experiences were rooted in Mexican
heritage, their mission has always been to present works that express
the multicultural Hispanic experience. Artistic Director Olga Sanchez joined
Miracle inspired by the performances she witnessed while traveling
in Selecting works of poetic strength vitalized with
corporal and visual impact, authenticity
is a priority in the work presented by Miracle, insured by extensive
research, consultation and collaboration with cultural experts,
and tested against the personal experiences of artists and audience
members. Miracle seeks to present the freshest
currents in Hispanic arts and culture, recognizing that the Hispanic
experience is diverse, influenced
by indigenous, European, African, as well as Announcing Miracle Theatre Group’s 2008-2009, 25th Anniversary Season! Celebrating
25 years of Latino arts and culture in Portland Miracle is a proud member of Theatre Communications Group, National Association of Latino Arts and Culture, Metropoitan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Northwest Businesses for Culture and the Arts, the Portland Area Theatre Alliance, and Central Eastside Industrial Council
