Mundo de las Mujeres

Mundo de las Mujeres is our Spanish-language multi-disciplinary celebration of International Women’s Day. An afternoon dedicated to Latinas and wellness with a program focused around social and personal health-related issues relevant to Latina women. Mundo de las Mujeres 2012 will include a performance of MENSAJE DE PAPA, a short play in Spanish, which will be followed by a related panel conversation about the challenges faced by local Latinas in combating Diabetes, and a bilingual resource fair with representatives from area social service organizations.

MENSAJE DE PAPA will feature longtime Miracle actress Nurys Herrera and Alberto Romero, both last seen in Miracle’s Día de Muertos production, “!Viva la revolución!,” as well as a team of actors new to the Milagro stage!

Organizations slated to participate in Mundo de las mujeres include: MANA of Portland, NW Family Services,  and the Latino Network.
