Mundo de las Mujeres 2013

Mundo de las Mujeres is our Spanish-language celebration of International Women’s Day, an afternoon dedicated to wellness with a program focused around social and personal health-related issues relevant to Latina women. Mundo de las Mujeres 2013 will include a performance of LAS METHICHES, a short play in Spanish, which will be followed by a related panel conversation about the challenges faced by local Latinas in taking leadership and engaging with their children’s schools to support their educational success!  The day will also feature a bilingual resource fair with representatives from area education and social service organizations.

LAS METHICHES will feature a team of actors new and familiar to the Milagro stage, including Maria Sanchez as Doña Tichi, Ursula Loret de Mola, Victor Garza, Patty Alvitez and Yasharet Lopez!
